Android app
You can install the AliasVault Android app from several sources. Pick whichever you prefer:
Download from Google Play
- Go to the Google Play Store
- Click on the "Install" button
- The app will be installed. Open the app and follow the instructions.
Download from F-Droid
F-Droid is an open-source app store. The AliasVault build there is compiled from source by F-Droid and contains no proprietary dependencies.
- Open the AliasVault page on F-Droid (the F-Droid client is recommended for automatic updates)
- Tap "Install"
- Open the app and follow the instructions.
Get it on Obtainium
Obtainium lets you install and auto-update apps directly from their GitHub releases. The link below pre-fills the AliasVault app configuration:
This requires the Obtainium app to be installed. Once added, Obtainium will install the APK from the AliasVault GitHub releases and notify you of future updates.
Build from Source
If you wish to install the mobile app from source instead, see the build-from-source documentation. This will allow you to make changes to the mobile app and/or to use a specific version of the mobile app.
